Refund policy
We do not typically accept returns. Not knowing what you’re getting is the whole thing and it's a bit of a risk, granted, but with a high reward potential. Part of the fun of shopping with us is the joy of the unexpected.
With that, there may be times where you receive a book you already own or otherwise don’t want. If it's a book you already own and love, we encourage you to share with a friend or loved one, and let us know that you received a book you already own. We will then send you a store credit to place a new order.
If it's a book you feel a burning hatred for for a specific reason, we invite you to email us at admin@vignettebooks.com and let us know why you dislike that particular book.
If you send us a three-paragraph essay outlining your displeasure and allow us to post it on social media (of course leaving out any specific identifying factors such as last name) we will refund your order as store credit.
We reserve the right to revist these policies if we feel they aren't being used in good faith. You can always contact us with any questions at admin@vignettebooks.com.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
If your package does not arrive, or arrives significantly damaged beyond regular wear and tear typical of shipping, please let us know and we will help resolve the issue. Typically in this case we would ship a replacement item or offer store credit. Should we agree to refund your order, please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at admin@vignettebooks.com.
